We are glad you are considering the UPMC Hamot School of Anesthesia/Gannon University DNP program. The Doctor of Nursing Practice - Anesthesia option is designed to provide you with an in-depth concentration in clinical anesthesia in a program where you'll average more than 1,000 anesthetic cases with no competition for clinical access. We are a hospital-based program with five clinical affiliations with established partners, providing you ample opportunities to refine independent practice. Based in beautiful downtown Erie, PA, our program tuition cost is extremely competitive, at just $92,745.
The first two full-time semesters (summer & fall) are planned as online classes, allowing you to remain in your current location while you begin your nurse anesthesia career. As you begin the third semester (in January), you will transition your didactic and clinical training to UPMC Hamot in Erie, Pennsylvania.
Applications and documentation are due by October 1, 2024, for the next application cycle.
We ensure our graduates are prepared to provide the highest level of anesthesia services and perioperative care to their patients.
Become a nurse anesthetist and fill a vital role in the medical community. US News & World Report ranked CRNA jobs as the sixth best profession in the country in 2017.
Get hands-on experience in one of the few hospital-owned programs in the country. Our students do not have to compete for cases with residents or other students. By the end of the program, you'll have thousands of hours in the OR.
